The Cottage Beyond is set at the heart of a 160 acre organic farm deep in the Somerset countryside; the small market town of Wiveliscombe is just under 4 miles away and Wellington, 6 miles. The A38, A358 and M5 are all within easy reach. Once you get here it really is like a world of your own, far, far away from the push and shove of modern life. You can easily forget about the rest of the world when you come for your large group holidays at The Cottage Beyond, and sometimes, that’s something we could all do with. A chance to completely unwind, nothing to worry about, nothing to do but smile, to enjoy spending time with your favourite people.

At your disposal is a beautiful spa hall with a heated pool, hot tub and sauna, and large landscaped gardens. Beyond that is the farmland, free for you to wander, with walks, ponds and woodlands and the most spectacular views, rolling on and on forever to meet the sky. Make the most of it, enjoy it all, you’ll even find welly boots here for you so pull them on and get out and explore. There’s nothing like being outdoors – the fresh air, exercise, the sights and sounds, and you’ll find so much to do here! We have maps of the farm for visitors and we’re always happy to give you a guided tour! There are signposted walks you can follow, a Stamp Box Challenge and animals you can go and say hello to. Don’t be surprised if you have a little company whilst you’re out and about on the farm – our dogs love to join in a walk, and will often lead the way if you're feeling lost!

The thing is, a stay at The Cottage Beyond really is a huge helping of country life; it’s a very special world that people can’t get enough of, which is why our guests come back year after year. They love it here and so will you; these are dream days, unruffled and blissful, time spent re-connecting with friends and family.

Bring nets and jam jars to go pond dipping, find out what kind of creatures live in the water; pack torches for a night walk, go quietly and you’ll hear so many wonderful sounds – owls hooting in the tree tops, foxes barking in the fields, badgers snuffling in the hedgerows. Spend an afternoon in the woods playing on the log swings and the slide, spotting the little fairy doors, then have a proper old fashioned picnic with egg sandwiches, sausage rolls and of course, lashings of pop! Do a Scavenger Hunt, it’s great fun and the children will find all sorts to identify – and they’re learning something new at the same time! Double tick!

You see, there's so much fun to be had here so we understand if you don’t feel like going out during your stay at The Cottage Beyond; why would you when there’s so much on your doorstep? But, if you do, you’ll find family attractions, historic houses, national parks, quaint market towns and the beaches of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site all within easy reach.
