
It's nearly October and with that we move towards autumnal vibes, spooky happenings and warm hues of oranges and browns! Its time to start planning your halloween decor and half term activities!
Pitt Farm Pumpkin Patch is a our local Pumpkin Farm. Located conveniently near to J25 of the M5 with a lovely variety of pumpkins set in a picturesque field with old machinery, gates to pose by and piles of pumpkins - its a great autumnal adventure for all of the family.
Pumpkin Varieties
Pitt Farm has over 30 varieties of pumpkin, squash and gourd avaliable, which come in a range of colours, the traditional oranges and yellows, through to some gruesome greens and greys! Some of their pumpkin varieties are edible, however the gourds are not - but if in doubt they have people available to ask and lots of signs to make it clear which varieties you are picking and what their best uses are.
Halloween Pumpkin Carving
The pumpkins at Pitt Farm Pumpkin Patch are perfect to use for all your spooky creations for halloween. Whether you have ideas of intricate carvings or you just want to create a large traditional style spooky face you'll find a pumpkin that suits! Maybe we should recreate our TCB Pumpkin from a few years ago - using The Cottage Beyond's logo for a spooky statement piece!
Activities and Refreshments
Not just a pumpkin patch, Pitt Farm offers a maize maze, a bale mountain and refreshments provided by 'The Happy Cafe' - teas, coffees, hot chocolates and cakes will be available to warm you through once you've been for a walk with a wheelbarrow through the pumpkin vines.
Booking Essential
The pumpkin picking experience costs £1.50 per person for over 2's, you are then able to buy whichever pumpkins you pick for a range of prices - from 2 for £1 all the way up to £15 monster pumpkins - there are clear guides showing you how much each pumpkin is; so you won't be surprised when its time to leave - you can pay by cash or card at the exit.
