2023 Upgrades and Maintenance to The Cottage Beyond.

Every year we continue to improve and develop what we have at The Cottage Beyond to ensure we are offering our guests the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and experience.

In January we took two weeks out of the calendar to conduct some deep cleaning, repairs and upgrades to The Cottage Beyond.  Here we thought we would share with you some of the things we rememberd to catch on camera - all the little bits that go into keeping The Cottage Beyond looking its best and ensuring we are providing the best possible experience for guests coming to stay here with family and friends, for holidays, celebrations, short breaks or reunions.

Our biggest investment this year has been in the fabulous new solid oak framed glazing in the pool area.  Not only has the new glazing created beautifuly clean lines, it has increased the insulation of the Spa Hall, which should help keep the swimming pool functioning as efficiently as possible, reducing the environmental impact of running the building.

Steve Partington, our wonderful carpet cleaner came and went through every room in the house with his magic steam cleaner.  Every carpet, rug and some soft furnishings were given the very best treatment and came up beautifully.  A lot of furtniture removal was essential before he came and not a 10p coin was found!

The paintbrushes were out in force, brightening skirting boards, window cills and walls in both the house and the Spa Hall.  The Snug was given a complete refresh and a feng-shui moment when we moved a piece of furnature and suddently felt the whole room 'lift'!  Very rewarding!  While we were pondering the Snug we found the most gorgeoous piece of fabric which will hopefully create some sumptious new curtatins to make the Snug fully live up to its name....these should be ready to go by the time it gets cold again, so watch this space....

The farm recently purchased a fabulous high power pressure washer, to use on the decking and grounds at the Lantern and Larks Glamping site; we were lucky enough to make use of it before it was needed down there, and wow it did a good job!  Once we started we just couldn't stop, so days were spent thoroughly cleaning all of the paths, decking, patio, driveway and outside play equipment - which alongside some mega gardening has left the garden raring to go and sparkling brightly ready for guests.

We felt exhausted after all the action but were delighted with the results.  We hope you will be too.
