Other Useful Information

Are there shops or a supermarket nearby?

Yes, Wellington (5 miles) has three supermarkets – Waitrose, Asda and Co-op. There are also bakers, butchers and a delicatessen in the town. Taunton is further away (10 miles) but has more supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Lidl and Morrisons.

Are there good places to eat nearby?

You’ll find several places where you can stop for a bite to eat on your way to The Nest, although this may require a short diversion off the main road.  There are fabulous local pubs, cafes and restaurants a short drive away, and if you want to stretch your legs we recommend Langford Budville just 2 miles away, with The Martlett Pub and White Post Cafe. Please see Our Things To Do page for suggestions.

How do we book the Extras shown on your website?

We are pleased that you are thinking of using our recommended suppliers – thank you! You’ll need to contact them to make the necessary arrangements, and once you’ve done that just let us know who you’ve booked and when they’re coming.

Do we need holiday insurance?

Whilst we don’t insist that you have holiday insurance, we think it’s a good idea to do so. A good travel insurance policy is likely to cover cancellation of your booking due to most reasons genuinely beyond your control – some insurances even cover cancellation due to adverse travel and road conditions. We can’t be held liable if you aren’t able to access the property due to events beyond our control. We also recommend that your holiday insurance covers you for personal liability claims just in case any accidental damage is caused during your stay.

If you have any other questions please ask! We are always happy to help with anything you need to know before or during your stay.

We wish you a very enjoyable stay at The Nest - happy holidays!
