Somerset farmstay: family holiday on an Organic Farm

Guests are welcome to explore the 180-acre organic farm. There are ponds and woodlands, and fields with panoramic views to the Quantocks and Blackdown Hills. The Bathealton Stream bubbles across the farm to Watery Lane and Pooh Sticks Bridge, and on to join the River Tone (which flows through Taunton).

All our guests are offered the opportunity of a farm tour as we love showing off our animals and are happy to share our knowledge with you.  There are signposted walks around the farm for you to follow, a stampbox challenge and several geocaches hidden so there are plenty of reasons to get out and explore the farm.

In the orchard beside the house we usually have ducks, chickens and our pet pigs - Apple and Blackberry. Guests are welcome to interact with them and collect the eggs from the chickens - something children and adults all have enjoyed doing whilst staying at The Cottage Beyond. 

While out and about on the farm, you may be joined by Pepsi and Elbie the dogs or greeted by friendly long-haired goats. Deer abound and badger-watching is a possibility.
